Her song "You Can't Take That Away From Me' highlights the importance of being yourself, no matter who you are. McIntosh cites Darius Rucker as an important influence on her career, stating "He has opened doors in country music that would have never been opened before for singers like me." Other influences include country artists Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton and Rascall Flatts, as well as pop starts like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Ed Sheeran. Tristan plays piano, guitar, mandolin and trumpet. Tristan McIntosh made a name for herself with her American Idol audition performance of "Why Baby Why" that earned her a "golden ticket" to compete in the final season of the series. She went on to become a fan favorite and finished in the top six, earning praise from country music star and Idol judge Keith Urban for having a "beautiful voice" and a "God-given gift." |
